Ingredients:
- 2 pounds (900g) bone-in, skin-on chicken thighs
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1/2 cup (120ml) honey
- 1/4 cup (60ml) soy sauce (low-sodium, if desired)
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon (15ml) apple cider vinegar
- 1 teaspoon (5g) ground ginger
- 1/4 teaspoon (1g) red pepper flakes (optional)
- Fresh parsley, chopped (optional)
Instructions:
- Pat chicken thighs dry and season with salt and pepper.
- In a bowl, whisk together honey, soy sauce, minced garlic, apple cider vinegar, ground ginger, and red pepper flakes.
- Place seasoned chicken thighs in the slow cooker. Pour the honey garlic sauce over the chicken, ensuring they are well coated.
- Cover and cook on low for 6-8 hours or on high for 3-4 hours, until chicken is tender and reaches an internal temperature of 165°F (75°C).
- Once cooked, sprinkle with fresh parsley and serve with your choice of sides.
