Ingredients:
- 1.5 lbs (680g) Salmon fillet, skin on or off
- 2 tbsp (30ml) Olive oil, extra virgin
- 1 Lemon, thinly sliced
- 2 cloves Garlic, minced
- 2 tbsp Fresh herbs, chopped (dill, parsley, thyme)
- Salt and black pepper to taste
- 1 tbsp (15g) Butter, cut into small pats (optional)
Instructions:
- Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
- Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or aluminum foil.
- Pat the salmon fillet dry with paper towels. Place the salmon on the prepared baking sheet.
- In a small bowl, combine olive oil, minced garlic, chopped herbs, salt, and pepper.
- Spread or drizzle the olive oil mixture evenly over the salmon fillet.
- Arrange lemon slices evenly over the top of the salmon.
- Dot the salmon with small pats of butter for extra richness (optional).
- Bake in the preheated oven for 12-15 minutes, or until the salmon is cooked through and flakes easily with a fork. The internal temperature should reach 145°F (63°C).
- Let the salmon rest for a few minutes before serving (optional).
- Serve immediately.
