Ingredients:

  • 14 ounces (397g) sweetened condensed milk
  • 24 ounces (680g) white chocolate chips (good quality, like Ghirardelli or Callebaut)
  • 1/2 cup (120ml) eggnog (store-bought or homemade)
  • 2 tablespoons (30ml) dark rum or bourbon (optional, but recommended)
  • 1 teaspoon ground nutmeg
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • Pinch of salt
  • Sprinkles (festive holiday colors) - Optional
  • Chopped nuts (walnuts, pecans, pistachios) - Optional
  • Gold leaf (for a touch of extra fancy) - Optional
  • Crystallized Ginger (diced) - Optional

Instructions:

  1. Line an 8x8 inch baking pan with parchment paper or foil, leaving an overhang for easy removal.
  2. In a medium saucepan over low heat, combine the sweetened condensed milk and white chocolate chips.
  3. Stir constantly until the chocolate is completely melted and the mixture is smooth. Alternatively, melt in 30-second intervals in the microwave, stirring in between.
  4. Remove from heat and stir in the eggnog, rum/bourbon (if using), nutmeg, cinnamon, and salt. Mix until well combined. Be careful not to overmix.
  5. Pour the fudge mixture into the prepared pan and spread evenly.
  6. Sprinkle with desired garnishes (sprinkles, nuts, gold leaf, crystallized ginger). - Optional
  7. Cover the pan with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 2-3 hours, or until firm.
  8. Once firm, lift the fudge out of the pan using the parchment paper overhang. Cut into squares and serve.
