Ingredients:
- 14 ounces (397g) sweetened condensed milk
- 24 ounces (680g) white chocolate chips (good quality, like Ghirardelli or Callebaut)
- 1/2 cup (120ml) eggnog (store-bought or homemade)
- 2 tablespoons (30ml) dark rum or bourbon (optional, but recommended)
- 1 teaspoon ground nutmeg
- 1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- Pinch of salt
- Sprinkles (festive holiday colors) - Optional
- Chopped nuts (walnuts, pecans, pistachios) - Optional
- Gold leaf (for a touch of extra fancy) - Optional
- Crystallized Ginger (diced) - Optional
Instructions:
- Line an 8x8 inch baking pan with parchment paper or foil, leaving an overhang for easy removal.
- In a medium saucepan over low heat, combine the sweetened condensed milk and white chocolate chips.
- Stir constantly until the chocolate is completely melted and the mixture is smooth. Alternatively, melt in 30-second intervals in the microwave, stirring in between.
- Remove from heat and stir in the eggnog, rum/bourbon (if using), nutmeg, cinnamon, and salt. Mix until well combined. Be careful not to overmix.
- Pour the fudge mixture into the prepared pan and spread evenly.
- Sprinkle with desired garnishes (sprinkles, nuts, gold leaf, crystallized ginger). - Optional
- Cover the pan with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 2-3 hours, or until firm.
- Once firm, lift the fudge out of the pan using the parchment paper overhang. Cut into squares and serve.
