Ingredients:

  • 1 lb fresh strawberries, hulled and halved
  • 8 oz mini mozzarella balls (Ciliegine or Bocconcini), drained
  • 1 bunch fresh basil leaves (approx. 30g)
  • 24 4-inch bamboo skewers
  • 1/4 cup balsamic glaze
  • 1/2 tsp flaky sea salt
  • 1/4 tsp freshly cracked black pepper
  • 1 tbsp extra virgin olive oil

Instructions:

  1. Wash and thoroughly dry the strawberries and basil. Use paper towels to pat the mozzarella balls dry to ensure they don't slip on the plate.
  2. Thread the ingredients onto each skewer in this order: one strawberry half (cut side up), one folded basil leaf, and one mini mozzarella ball.
  3. Arrange the assembled skewers on a chilled serving platter.
  4. Just before serving, drizzle with extra virgin olive oil and the balsamic glaze. Season with a final pinch of flaky sea salt and cracked black pepper.
