Ingredients:
- 10 ounces fresh spinach, washed and dried
- 1 pound fresh strawberries, hulled and sliced
- 1/2 cup slivered almonds, toasted
- 1/4 cup red onion, thinly sliced (optional)
- 1/4 cup vegetable oil
- 3 tablespoons white vinegar
- 1/4 cup white sugar
- 1 teaspoon poppy seeds
- 1/2 teaspoon paprika
- 1/4 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
Instructions:
- Spread almonds on a baking sheet and toast in a preheated oven, or in a dry skillet until lightly golden.
- In a large bowl, combine spinach, strawberries, red onion (if using), and toasted almonds.
- In a small bowl or jar, whisk together vegetable oil, white vinegar, sugar, poppy seeds, paprika, Worcestershire sauce, and salt until well combined.
- Pour the poppy seed dressing over the salad and toss gently to coat. Serve immediately.
