Ingredients:

  • 750 ml bottle dry white wine (Sauvignon Blanc, Pinot Grigio, or Albariño)
  • 120 ml (½ cup) brandy (optional)
  • 120 ml (½ cup) orange liqueur (Cointreau or Triple Sec)
  • 60 ml (¼ cup) simple syrup
  • 1 medium green apple, cored and chopped
  • 1 medium pear, cored and chopped
  • 1 medium orange, sliced into thin rounds
  • 1 cup green grapes, halved
  • 125 ml (½ cup) fresh raspberries
  • 500 ml (2 cups) sparkling water or club soda
  • Optional garnishes: mint sprigs, orange slices, extra berries

Instructions:

  1. Chop the apple and pear into bite-sized pieces. Slice the orange into thin rounds. Halve the grapes.
  2. In a large pitcher, combine the white wine, brandy (if using), orange liqueur, and simple syrup.
  3. Add the chopped apple, pear, orange slices, grapes, and raspberries to the pitcher.
  4. Gently muddle the fruit with a muddler or wooden spoon to release some of its juices and flavors.
  5. Cover the pitcher and refrigerate for at least 2 hours to allow the flavors to meld.
  6. Just before serving, top the sangria with sparkling water or club soda.
  7. Pour into glasses filled with ice. Garnish with mint sprigs, orange slices, and extra berries, if desired.
