Ingredients:
- 2 cans (15 ounces each) Bush
- s Vegetarian Baked Beans (425 g)
- 1 medium onion, diced (about 1 cup / 150 g)
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 tablespoons brown sugar (30 g)
- 2 tablespoons apple cider vinegar (30 ml)
- 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce (15 ml)
- 1 teaspoon smoked paprika (5 g)
- ½ teaspoon ground black pepper (2 g)
- Salt to taste (about ¼ teaspoon or 1 g)
- Chopped fresh parsley or green onions (optional)
Instructions:
- Dice the onion and mince the garlic, measuring out the spices.
- In a large skillet, heat a drizzle of olive oil over medium heat. Add the diced onion and sauté for 3-4 minutes until translucent.
- Stir in the minced garlic and cook for an additional 1-2 minutes until fragrant.
- Add the Bushs Vegetarian Baked Beans to the skillet. Stir in brown sugar, apple cider vinegar, Worcestershire sauce, smoked paprika, black pepper, and salt to taste.
- Reduce heat to low and let the beans simmer for 20-25 minutes, stirring occasionally, until thickened and heated through.
- Taste and adjust seasoning if necessary. Garnish with chopped parsley or green onions, if desired. Serve warm as a side dish or a main course.
