Ingredients:
- 1 large loaf Italian bread or baguette (approx. 24 inches long), split lengthwise
- ½ cup (1 stick; 113g) unsalted butter, softened
- 6 cloves garlic, minced (about 2 tablespoons)
- ¼ cup fresh parsley, finely chopped
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- ½ teaspoon dried oregano
- ½ teaspoon salt
- ¼ teaspoon black pepper
- 2 cups (226g) shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1 cup (113g) shredded provolone cheese
- ½ cup (57g) grated Parmesan cheese
Instructions:
- Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C). Split the loaf horizontally.
- In a small saucepan or microwave, melt the butter. Add minced garlic, parsley, garlic powder, oregano, salt, and pepper. Stir to combine.
- Using a pastry brush or spoon, generously spread the garlic butter over the cut sides of the bread. Make sure to get into all the nooks and crannies!
- Sprinkle the mozzarella, provolone, and Parmesan cheese evenly over the garlic buttered bread.
- Place the bread on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper (if using). Bake for 12-15 minutes, or until the cheese is melted, bubbly, and lightly golden brown. Keep a close eye; ovens vary.
- Let the bread cool for a few minutes before slicing and serving. This cheesy garlic bread recipe is best served warm.
