Ingredients:

  • 1 cup (180g) steel cut oats
  • 4 cups (950ml) water or milk (or a blend of both for creaminess)
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 tablespoon maple syrup or honey (optional, for sweetness)
  • Fresh berries (strawberries, blueberries, or raspberries)
  • Sliced bananas
  • Chopped nuts (almonds, walnuts, or pecans)
  • Nut butter (peanut or almond)
  • Ground cinnamon or nutmeg

Instructions:

  1. Measure oats, water/milk, and salt.
  2. Add oats and liquid to the pressure cooker.
  3. Secure the lid and set the cooker to high pressure for 10 minutes.
  4. Allow for a natural release for 10 minutes, then perform a quick release for any remaining pressure.
  5. Open the lid, stir the oats, and add maple syrup or honey if desired.
  6. Spoon into bowls and add your choice of toppings.
