Ingredients:

  • 1 cup heavy whipping cream
  • 1/2 cup sweetened condensed milk
  • 1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
  • 1 tablespoon powdered sugar (adjust for sweetness)
  • A pinch of salt
  • Optional: Food coloring (yellow, pink, or blue) for decorative purposes

Instructions:

  1. (1) Prepare Your Equipment: Gather a mixing bowl, whisk or electric mixer, spatula, and silicone molds shaped like small squares or rectangles.
  2. (2) Mix the Base: In a large mixing bowl, combine the heavy whipping cream and sweetened condensed milk. Using a whisk or electric mixer on medium speed, whip the mixture until it starts to thicken but is not fully whipped (soft peaks). This should take about 3–5 minutes.
  3. (3) Flavor It Up: Add in the pure vanilla extract and powdered sugar. Whisk again until fully incorporated and smooth. Taste your mixture—if you prefer it sweeter, add more powdered sugar gradually until you reach your desired sweetness level.
  4. (4) Add Color (Optional): If youd like to create colorful layers of crème savers, divide your mixture into separate bowls based on how many colors you want. Add food coloring to each bowl one drop at a time until you achieve your preferred shades.
  5. (5) Fill Molds: Carefully spoon the flavored mixture into your silicone molds. You can layer different colors by filling one color halfway before adding another color on top.
  6. (6) Chill: Place the filled molds in the freezer for at least 4 hours or until set completely.
  7. (7) Serve & Enjoy: Once frozen solid, gently remove crème savers from their molds by pushing them out from beneath. Serve immediately as delightful bite-sized treats!
