- 2 cups rolled oats (180g)
- 1 cup creamy peanut butter (240g)
- ½ cup honey or maple syrup (120ml)
- 1 large egg, beaten
- 1 tsp vanilla extract (5ml)
- ½ tsp baking powder (2g)
- ½ tsp salt (3g)
- ½ cup chocolate chips or chopped nuts (90g)
Instructions:
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Line the baking pan with parchment paper or lightly grease it.
- In a bowl, combine rolled oats, baking powder, and salt.
- In another bowl, mix the peanut butter, honey (or maple syrup), beaten egg, and vanilla extract until smooth.
- Add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients and stir until well combined.
- Fold in optional ingredients like chocolate chips or nuts.
- Spoon the mixture into the prepared baking pan, spreading it evenly with a spatula.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 20 minutes or until the edges are golden brown.
- Allow to cool for about 10 minutes, then cut into bars while still warm.
