Ingredients:

  • 1 cup (226g) Unsalted Butter, softened to 65°F/18°C
  • 4 cups (500g) Confectioners' (Powdered) Sugar, sifted
  • 1/4 tsp (1.5g) Fine Sea Salt
  • 3 tbsp (45ml) Heavy Whipping Cream
  • 2 tsp (10ml) Pure Vanilla Extract

Instructions:

  1. Place the softened butter and sea salt in a mixing bowl. Beat on medium-high speed for 3 minutes until the butter is pale and nearly white.
  2. Turn the mixer to the lowest setting. Add the sifted powdered sugar one cup at a time. After each addition, increase speed to medium for 30 seconds to incorporate, scraping the bowl as needed.
  3. Add the vanilla extract and 2 tablespoons of heavy cream. Beat on medium-high for 2 minutes. For a smoother spread, add the final tablespoon of cream and beat on the lowest speed for 2 minutes to remove air bubbles.
