Ingredients:
- 2 cups (250g) all-purpose flour
- 1 tablespoon baking powder
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 cup (60g) unsalted butter, cold and cubed
- 3/4 cup (180ml) buttermilk, cold
Instructions:
- Preheat the oven to 450°F (230°C).
- In a mixing bowl, combine the flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
- Cut in the cold butter using a pastry cutter or forks until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
- Gradually add the cold buttermilk, stirring until just combined.
- Turn the dough onto a floured surface and gently knead it a few times to bring it together.
- Roll out the dough to about 1-inch thickness.
- Use a biscuit cutter to cut out biscuits, placing them on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
- Gather any scraps, re-roll, and cut out additional biscuits.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes until golden brown.
- Remove from oven and let cool slightly before serving.
