Ingredients:
- 2 ¼ cups (280 g) all-purpose flour
- 1 tsp (5 g) baking soda
- ½ tsp (2 g) salt
- 1 cup (227 g) unsalted butter, softened
- ¾ cup (150 g) brown sugar, packed
- ½ cup (100 g) granulated sugar
- 1 tsp (5 mL) vanilla extract
- 2 large eggs (room temperature)
- 2 cups (340 g) semi-sweet chocolate chips
Instructions:
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, and salt; set aside.
- In a separate large bowl, cream together softened butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until light and fluffy.
- Incorporate vanilla extract and eggs, one at a time, mixing well after each addition.
- Gradually add the dry mixture to the butter mixture, mixing just until combined.
- Gently fold in chocolate chips until evenly distributed.
- Cover the bowl with plastic wrap and refrigerate for 30 minutes.
- Scoop dough onto prepared baking sheets, spacing them about 2 inches apart.
- Bake in preheated oven for 10-12 minutes or until the edges are lightly golden but the center remains soft.
- Allow cookies to cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes before transferring to a cooling rack.
