Easy Sausage-Stuffed Dates Appetizer

Ingredients
- 1 1/4 cups prepared marinara sauce
- 25 whole dates, pitted
- 1/2 pound spicy Italian sausage
- 1/2 cup crumbled feta, for garnish
- 1/2 cup torn Castelvetrano olives, for garnish
- Chopped fresh parsley and oregano, for garnish
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C) and place a rack in the upper third of the oven.
- Pour the marinara sauce into a 10-inch skillet or a 9×9-inch baking dish.
- Stuff each date with about 1 tablespoon of raw sausage, allowing the sausage to mound out of the date.
- Arrange the stuffed dates in the sauce, with the sausage side facing up.
- Roast in the oven for 18-20 minutes, or until the sausage reaches an internal temperature of 160°F (71°C).
- Remove from the oven and let cool slightly before serving.
- Just before serving, sprinkle with feta, olives, and fresh herbs.
- Enjoy warm or at room temperature!
